Not really continuing from last issue
(The Brave and the Bold 6)...

Wonder Woman and Power Girl pound mummies.  When PG accidentally touches WG's lasso, she blurts out a plan to kill Superman.

WW believes in using the "scalpel" approach to problems: precision cuts.  PG uses a "chainsaw" to solve problems: brute force.

Working together, and swapping techniques, WW and PG root out Dr. Alchemy and scotch his plan to possess PG to kill Big Blue.

While far away in Challenger Mountain, Prof has just read all about their adventure...

Prof admits its strange to read about a current adventure on ancient paper, but "Mortal eyes aren't really meant to browse The Book of Destiny."

The Challs can (perhaps) because they - alone in history - don't appear in the book.

Prof has found a second reference to the name Megistus, which bears investigating -

Ace interrupts.  "First, Phoenix."

The mythological bird?  "Naw, Egghead, the city!"

There's a stampede tearing up downtown.  So?..

"All the animals are extinct species!"

And they're off!

Challengers off to Phoenix

And The Book of Destiny must wait until another time.

Comments

Wonderful to see the guys - and June - diving back into action.  We'd love to see them rounding up extinct animals.  Dodos?  Giant sloths?  Great Red Kangaroos?  Passenger pigeons?  Another untold tale...

More questions and hopefully more answers coming up next issue...
