Series Synopsis: "Five extraordinary people with seemingly nothing in common share the bond of surviving a cataclysmic event. In a world devoid of super-heroes, they come together and discover that everything they know has been a lie, that the world we live in is not the one we believe it to be. To survive, they must unite and face the true masters of our universe. It's a world where literally anything can happen, and probably will!"

Synopsis: On a world devoid of superheroes, five troublemakers find themselves drawn to Long Beach, California - just in time for a cataclysm... Continued...

Amid images of muggings, drugs, war, and sensationalism, five people brawl, curse, and make smart-ass remarks. They are Zach Dyamond, Tessa Crowne, Rydell Starr, Kendra Harte, and Holden Crosse. All have unsavory specialties: party animal, ecoterrorist, jailhouse lawyer, blogger, videographer, hip-hop poet, extreme athlete, industrial saboteur.

Their only commonality is the same thought: "Every so often, just before I nod off, I'm assaulted by dreams, of confusion, of chaos... Dreams I can't truly say are my own."

Somehow all five congregate in Long Beach, California. Just as a terrorist-jacked freighter in the harbor explodes and flattens the city...

Race to Part 2...

Nothing much happens in the first issue: it's all setup. This world (not the DCU) is an ugly place full of violence. Unpleasant to visit - or read about.
