captured. Their mysterious masters are the billionaire cult the
Hegemony that runs the world: politically, economically, culturally.

Ryan, Davis, and Morgan also slipped their leashes. No other

These four "contrarians"
have been reined in with new biochips. And been shipped to Hegemony's
new home, Luna City, hidden on the Moon! Tessa Crowne has been
impregnated to bear a villain's child. Tessa caves, agreeing
to serve. The other three Challengers suddenly wake up - able
to think - because the post-hypnotic block has overruled the
new biochips. They start shooting. Tessa is gunned down. The
three survivors run. They
shoot free, steal a space shuttle, and dash off as the lunar
base goes nuclear.
Back on Earth,
Rydell Starr, Kendra Harte,
and Holden Crosse make a vow. The
Hegemony still runs the planet. In the past, Haley, Morgan, Davis,
and Ryan fought the Hegemony. The three survivors vow to carry
on the battle - dubbing themselves the new Challengers of the
Unknown (COTU
V4 1-6)
"living on borrowed time".
